Born in London before moving to the West Country as a little girl, I was a bit of a tomboy growing up who loved climbing trees, running around, jumping off things, skating, and generally having a great time.
I have now found my own unique look that I pride myself on, with 50’s styled purple coloured hair and 50’s style clothing to boot. I have often been called a talented artist, as I love drawing and painting, but have always enjoyed writing poems and rhyme as well, usually for personal expression.
I now live in North Lincolnshire with my husband, our children and 3 dogs.
Many years ago, after submitting my first book to publishers to then receive successive rejections, quickly followed by a horrific, tragic set of circumstances that would change our family and lives forever, I had pretty much given up on ever getting my books published and as such, they sat in the wardrobe untouched for the following years.
However, after an impromptu, heartfelt conversation one afternoon with my Mum and Dad, I decided it was time to finish what I had started many years before and get those books published.
My first book, with its original illustrations, has since been published, but the second one I ever wrote and illustrated all those years ago, as of writing this is still as yet unpublished for personal reasons.
Infused with a new vigour from our young daughter’s enthusiasm and imagination along with a pinch of circumstances beyond our control, I have started to put pen to paper once again.
Having been an artist since I could hold a pencil in my hand and over the years having worked in many mediums and styles, in 2020 I decided it was time to try my hand at digital as a medium and was immediately hooked! Drawing for 15 hours straight on my first attempt on my iPad and reluctant to put it down, I found another artistic passion, which I could use in publishing my books.
I sincerely hope that my books bring you as much joy and happiness in reading them with your loved ones as they do me when I’m creating them with my loved ones.
